MAI Held a Remote Meet & Greet Event for a Number of CIS Countries
On February 28, 2019, MAI held a remote university Meet & Greet event for prospective students from CIS countries at the Resource Center for Research and Innovation Technologies.
Such kind of event is held at the university for the second time. In addition to the countries that participated in the last Meet & Greet event (Kazakhstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan), this year participated one more CIS region - Kyrgyzstan.
For the connection with abroad platforms latest web technologies were used. On the big screen, representatives of MAI observed all locations, and prospective students of each region saw and heard the university side.The Meet & Greet event was hosted by specialists from the International Department of MAI. Representatives of faculties and institutes attended the meeting too.
Olga Pogosian, Head of International Department of MAI, gave a welcome speech at the beginning of the event. She stressed: “Such events are becoming traditional and held annually. We tell schoolchildren and their parents about the training programs implemented at our university, about the admission rules for citizens of the CIS countries, about our unique laboratories, classrooms, student life, sports opportunities and opportunities for creativity at the university.”
In addition, representatives of MAI told the prospective students in detail about the possibility of participating in overseas internships in Europe, Southeast Asia, India and China, research opportunities and career prospects after graduation. Applicants were active, asked a lot of questions, to which they received exhaustive answers.
The Meet & Greet events organized by the International Department of MAI in order to make it easier for prospective students from foreign countries to get first-hand information about the leading aerospace university in Russia.
