XII Russian Congress of Councils of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies

The XII Russian Congress of Councils of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies will be carried out in Vladivostok from July 15 to 17. The Far Eastern Federal University will be the venue of the event. Registration is open until April 30.

The main purpose of the congress is to draw communities of young scientists to solving the most important tasks of the development of society and the country. The participants will develop their own projects for sake of regions dedicated to solving the tasks of the Decade of Science and Technology - attracting talented young people to the field of research and development, raising awareness of the citizens about the achievements and prospects of Russian science.

It is planned that representatives of the councils of young scientists and student scientific societies, laureates of the President of the Russian Federation Award in the field of science and innovation for young scientists, winners of the Leaders of Russia competition, young scientists-recipients of state support measures, as well as students and postgraduates from all over Russia, will take part in the event.

Educational and cultural programs will be prepared for the participants of the congress, which will include workshops, round tables and panel discussions from leading Russian scientists, experts, top speakers, leaders in science and technology, lectures from young scientists and laureates of the Russian President's Prize in science and innovation for young scientists. Traditionally, as part of the congress, representatives of the councils of young scientists and student scientific societies of all federal districts will meet with curators from the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in Science and Education.

The Russian Congress of Councils of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies is held annually on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation and is one of the Decade of Science and Technology (2022-2031) events.

The organizer of the event is the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Science and Education. It is organized under the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Last year, more than 1,000 young scientists from all the 89 regions of Russia took part in the congress. The event was also attended by participants from other countries for the first time: Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
