Call for Registration for the Largest Aviation Hackathon is Now Open!
The Moscow Aviation Institute has opened registration for the traditional AviaHackathon!

This event annually brings together talented young people and representatives of the aviation industry, IT and other industries. This largest hackathon in the Russian aviation industry will take place for the 4th time and will last from April 23 to April 25, 2021. During three days of intensive work, its participants-students, graduate students, young programmers, testers, designers, engineers-will prepare innovative solutions to urgent problems in aviation and related fields using a wide range of IT-technologies and will present them to the expert community.

The event is traditionally organised by specialists of the IT Centre MAI and WINNO Moscow - the first innovation international accelerator and hub in Russia - involving partner companies. Due to the epidemiological situation, the hackathon will be held online.

Last year, more than 400 people applied to participate in the AviaHackathon-2020. The online format of the hackathon made the event more accessible and enabled participants from Russia and other countries to unite into international teams to create together services, applications, modules and platform solutions for the benefit of the industry.

The general partner of AviaHackathon-2021 is the "Lift to the Future" educational platform. The partners are S7 Airlines, Sheremetyevo International Airport and its subsidiary Sheremetyevo Handling, Rosaviation, Yandex.Cloud service, M.Video, MTS, Kronshtadt Group, State Research Institute of Aviation Systems, SoftwareONE company, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Centre and MAI Centre for Mathematical Modelling, etc. This year, the educational partner is the GeekBrains portal.

Hackathon participants' solutions will be evaluated by aviation and IT industry professionals according to such criteria as MVP, technological effectiveness, potential, interface, and data processing. The winners will receive a cash prize, rewards from case directors and MAI, and licences for the use of Yandex.Cloud worth 200,000 roubles. The most enthusiastic participants will have the opportunity to submit their project to one of Russia's leading companies.
