Orientation Meetings for Freshmen Were Held in MAI
On October 3-4, 2019, MAI International Department held three orientation meetings for international freshmen who begin their study at the undergraduate, graduate and pre-university programs of Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University).
The goal of orientation meeting is to get acquainted international students with MAI and Russia. International students from India, Malaysia, China, the USA, Zimbabwe, South Africa and many other countries chose MAI as the educational basis for their future.
Every orientation meeting began with a welcoming speech of Alexey Zarechenskiy, Deputy Head of MAI International Department. Students were introduced to representatives of MAI staff, told about the migration rules of the Russian Federation, the rules of living in a hostel, social benefits for students and the opportunities that they can get at the university.
After the meeting, students received memorable gifts: MAI bags with souvenirs and leaflet with useful contacts, information and campus map.“I found out about Moscow Aviation Institute in Russian Cultural Center in my homeland. I decided to study at MAI because it is a strong university, and I love to study aerospace engineering. I’ve been here for almost a week, I adapted very quickly and already made friends” said Mohammad Obeid, freshman from Lebanon.
