Delegation from South Africa visited MAI
On October 13, 2018 a delegation from Mpamalanga province of South Africa, visited MAI.
The South Africa Delegation from Mpumalanga province visited Russia in order to get acquainted with a number of universities, including Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University).
Visit of South Africa delegation to MAI was organized by RACUS, a company that represents a group of Russian state universities abroad. The organization RACUS has offices in 63 locations including the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Latin America Europe and CIS.
The delegation consisted of governmental representatives of the province Mpumalanga, which is located in eastern South Africa. Minister of Education Mr Sibusiso Malaza, Minister of Health Ms Sesekani Manzini and representatives of different government departments of the province came to MAI to get acquainted with conditions of the study, practical opportunities and campus facilities, which university provides for its international students. 8 students fr om the province Mpumalanga study at MAI and receive the support of their government.
South Africa delegation visited laboratories, classes and showroom of the Institute №2 “Propulsion Engineering”, wh ere the dean of the institute Veronica Monakhova and scientific specialists educated the guests about students’ educational process, showed equipment for research work and study.
Further guests were guided through the training laboratory of Department №101 “Design and certification of aviation equipment”. During the visit, representatives of the delegation met with MAI students from Mpumalanga province.
Mr Sibusiso Malaza, Minister of Education of the province Mpumalanga, was satisfied with the opportunities that MAI offers to its students, expressed gratitude for caring of their wards and expressed a desire to continue cooperation with MAI.
